Ian Anderson was born and raised here in Hilton Head Island. He attended high school here locally before deciding to further his athletic and academic career at the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of the Wildcat Football Program. After returning to the lowcountry, he then landed in construction as a regional representative for one of the largest exterior contracting companies in the Southeast. As he continued to gain knowledge and experience, he transitioned into project management role for a custom residential builder. With his success he was named a Director of Construction and shortly after deemed Vice President. From there Ian set off to create what is now Blackwater Construction Group.

A proud Lowcountry native, Jack Davis has spent his career creating lasting relationships and proudly representing the place he calls home. Graduating from the University of Alabama with honors, Jack comes from a background of Corporate Operations and Business Development within the construction field. Bridging the gap from concept, to field operations, Jacks goal is to engineer the ultimate building experience from day 1 while maintain the values that make Blackwater Construction Group special.

“JJ” Grew up in the Milwaukee Wisconsin area. A college swimmer at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, and Marquette University, he received a degree in Political Science. In 2001, he moved to Bluffton and began his career in residential construction. JJ started his building career as a  partner in a remodeling business on Hilton Head Island and then starting his own company in 2008 years later. His building experience took him to a project management position with Cameron and Cameron in 2015, which eventually became Element Construction, both high end custom Residential builders. In 2020, JJ Hegan took a position with Marsh Contracting building custom homes almost exclusively within the gates of Palmetto Bluff, a high end residential development in Bluffton, SC. JJ lives in Bluffton with his wife Kathy, and has two children that are currently in college where they enjoy boating, golf, and everything else that the Lowcountry has to offer!
